It is possible that my GPU might of been damaged while removing it from my old PC. Through all of these, the CPU LED stays lit red and nothing comes on. Moved the GPU around into different spots The POST State LEDs of CPU, DRAM, VGA card, and HDD indicate key components status during POST (Power-on Self Test). Tried the BIOS updater through the USB that was downloaded from the ASUS site and reformated the USB Unplugged PSU and cleared the RTC RAM from the jumpers Plugged in the Rams in different spots and taken them all out to see if there is a beep. also I noticed that while plugging in the 8-pin EATX12V with my PSU that the shapes are off but it still fits in.

There is no signal from the HDMI of the GPU ( the GPU is from an older build, same with the PSU so I know that work) and the fan for the GPU is not turning on. Now the problem is that after putting everything together in the case while using a static wrist band I tried booting the PC up for the first time and all the fans come on, the heatsink CPU fan comes on but in the middle of the MB the CPU red LED lights up and stays on. but if it is important I will get it out and check I hear it come on when I boot>Ĭase: ThermalTake core V51 ATX Mid Tower with 3 120mm Fans Storage: Old 1TB Harddrive Not sure the brand since it is already bolted in. Regardless of the CPU fault LED being Lit I am pretty sure now that the Mother board is the problem the Fault the replacement tested FX8350 did not work.I am in the middle of building my new computer with these current specs: Both AM3+ and transfer everything across pretty cheap but I would like to know what is happening.

or maybe the Bios chip is corrupted/failed I can buy a bullet proof Giggabite GA series ot ASUS Sabertooth 990FX. I will leave things as they are for 24 hours see what other suggestion come in I am feeling that the fault could be a capacitor or some other part of the CPU circuit on the Board that is so close to the CPU it indicates as a CPU Fault. it was connected I removed it and tested it it's working. Another strange oddity is that the motherboard is designed to not boot up if the speaker is not connected. I have found numerous occurrences of my problem on youtube but people only appear to be able to confirm what has happened not why. ASUS and AMD have a symbiotic relationship as companies it is why their products work so well together. The power to MB green light comes on and the on/ off button illuminates that is all I get so for some reason the CPU so power is getting to the board. In my case the single beep does not occur the fan on the CPU starts as normal. The Board it's self has a Red fault LED that if lit indicates a general Motherboard fault this is not lit. The ASUS M5A99X motherboard is self diagnostic so just below and to the right of the CPU is a Red LED that if lit indicates a CPU fault or the section of the board directly associated with it.
